Olga Gulevich and Alexandra Lomanova presented the results of their research at the laboratory workshop

On 11  – 13 October 2023, the International Conference "Formal Philosophy – 2023" was held, organized by the HSE International Laboratory of Logic, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy (HSE University).

How are motivation, self-regulation and well-being related? What are the socio-cultural predictors of psychological well-being? What are the basic psychological needs of human beings? How does changing the goal affect well-being? These and many other questions were discussed by the Laboratory staff within the framework of the autumn school "Resources of psychological well-being" for students, postgraduates and scientific-pedagogical workers (18-22 September).

On September 1st, a new season of the open Student Research Paper Competition (SRPC) started. This competition is aimed at developing the potential of university students who are interested in academic activities. Students, as well as 2023 graduates of Russian and foreign universities, can submit their papers for the competition until October 15^th, 2023. This year SRPC turns 20 years old, throughout the competition’s history, Vadim Radaev, HSE University’s First Vice Rector, has been the chair of the organising committee. In today’s interview, he talks about the history of the competition and the key stages in its development.

Our colleagues Frol Sapronov and Anastasia Anufrieva together with the lab head Elena Gorbunova spoke at the conference "CONCEPTS, ACTIONS, and OBJECTS. Functional and Neural Perspectives" organized by the Italian Center for Consciousness and Brain Sciences at the University of Trento.

On April 21, 2023, at the XXI International Conference of Young Scientists “Vectors”, within the framework of the section “Breaking Borders, Constructing Differences: Cultural and Symbolic Dimensions of Inequality”, Center members Ekaterina Bushina and Azhariya Karimova made a report on the topic “The influence of ethnicity on the perception of the roles of ethnic minorities in situations of school bullying by Russian schoolchildren: factorial design"
