About the School
The School promotes cutting-edge research, multidisciplinary studies, education in English. We are increasing the number of courses in English all the time and have started two English-speaking Master’s Programs. Our researchers have access to Eye trackers, TMS, multi-channel EEG, MEG and fMRI techniques.
The School also aims to train psychologists, who can apply their knowledge in the fields of economics, banking, human resources management, organizational development, ecopsychology and team-building.

Professor Emmanuel Dupoux, Paris, Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) will visit the HSE Faculty of Psychology for a lecture entitled ‘Quantitative modeling of early language acquisition’ on November, 15, 2013 (video). The Higher School of Economics Partners Up with Coursera. One of the 12 courses is "Introduction to Neuroeconomics: how the brain makes decisions". Lecturer is Dean of the HSE Faculty of Psychology, Professor Vasily Klucharev.
Vasily Klyucharev is the new Dean of the HSE Faculty of Psychology. His professional interests lie in neuroeconomics - more specifically, in the study of social influence, of the ways our decisions can be manipulated, what mechanisms are at play, and which parts of our brain are involved when someone tries to manipulate us. The new Dean talked to our news service about the faculty's upcoming research projects and academic courses.
Peter Schmidt, Professor of sociology at the University of Giessen and a renowned expert in social psychology, who has become one of the heads of the HSE International Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Studies, told us about the plans and key research topics of the laboratory.
