At the seminar held on October 23rd, 2023, Prof. Olga Gulevich and Alexandra Lomanova presented the results of their joint research.

The study focuses on identifying the relationship between the perceived fairness of politicians and attitudes toward the political system. The colleagues hypothesized that this relationship is moderated by support for pro- and anti-system conspiracy theories. The results of the study showed that support for pro-system conspiracy theories attenuated the effect of procedural fairness on attitudes toward the hypothetical country. At the same time, support for anti-systemic conspiracy theories increases the influence of procedural fairness on attitudes toward the hypothetical politicians and country.

More details of the study can be found in its presentation.
