The journal "Asia and Today" published an article by the staff of our laboratory on Islamic education in Russia

The publication was based on the results of the expedition to Dagestan, organized by the laboratory, with the support of the HSE project "Discovering Russia again".

L.M. Isaev, A.R. Shishkina and E.A. Ivanov come to the conclusion that in order to improve the current situation concerning Islamic education in Russia, it is possible to add more general subjects studied in Islamic universities. It will allow students to obtain a wider range of skills and competencies. In the long term, it is necessary to implement the world leaders' best practices.
