Egypt: the post-crisis revival

The Laboratory's researchers Leonid M. Issaev and Alisa R. Shishkina visited Cairo, Egypt. The trip was organized as a part of the project "Analysis and Modeling of African Development in the Context of Russia's Foreign Policy Interests". The visit lasted from 6th to 12th, November.

Interviewing Amr Mussa

During the trip, the scholars interviewed members of the Egyptian academic community, as well as public officials and politicians, including Amr Musa who is the former Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ezzat Saad, the Chief executive officer of the Egyptian Council for International Affairs; Mustafa Kamel, the Chairman of the "Russia and Egypt" friendship community; professor at the Cairo University Nurhan al-Sheikh; Doha Assi, the member of the House of Representatives of Egypt; Muhammad al-Gibali, the Head of the Russian language department at Ain Shams University; Sherwet al-Ahmadi, the Vice-rector of the Ain Shams University; Sheriff Ged, the Chairman of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities; faculty staff of Helwan University and Fathi Tugan, the member of the Russian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission.
