The Working Group on the Discursive Dimension of Foreign Policymaking cordially invites you to attend its upcoming seminar, "Discursive Construction of Liberalism and its Axiological Foundations in the Russian Public Sphere: the Case of the Periodical Press from 2021 to 2023." The seminar will take place on Thursday, May 16, at 2:30 PM in Room 224 at Myasnitskaya Street, 20.

Ekaterina Bragina, a core researcher of the Working Group, will deliver a presentation delving into the discursive formation of liberalism and its value foundations. The seminar will revolve around a discussion of the proposed research design, with a particular focus on discourse strategies employed by Russian policymakers.

The seminar will address key topics such as the concept of the "public sphere," the value systems underlying ideologies, hegemonic struggles between different narratives and groups in relation to liberal ideology, and the evolution of representations of liberal ideology in the press.
