Discursive Legitimation of Policy Change: Energy Transitions in Germany and Russia's Foreign Policy Strategy
The Working Group on the discursive dimension of foreign policymaking invites you to attend its upcoming seminar, "Discursive Legitimation of Policy Change: Energy Transitions in Germany and Russia's Foreign Policy Strategy," scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, at 13:00, in Room 224 at Myasnitskaya Street, 20. This event aims to provide a comprehensive look into how discourse strategies shape policy making across different domains, specifically focusing on energy transitions in Germany and shifts in Russia's foreign policy strategy.
Sergey Kondratiev, a doctoral candidate and lecturer at the Higher School of Economics (HSE), will make a report on the strategies behind justifying energy transition policies in Germany. In addition, we will also discuss WG's research on ontological security divisions in Russia’s foreign policy strategy. The seminar will center around a discussion of the research designs being proposed, focusing on discourse strategies in policy making.
In the context of these research projects, the seminar will address key topics such as:
-
Defining and justifying the boundaries of the studied discourse.
-
