The Working Group on Russian discourses invites you to its 10th seminar, dedicated to the study of how political discourse in the Duma shapes lawmaking processes. WG's researcher Ekaterina Kulik will make a presentation of the draft of her research, "The Influence of Discursive Divisions in the Russian State Duma on the Lawmaking Co-sponsorship on the Subject of Education during the VII Convocation."
This seminar will examine the impact of discursive divisions within the Russian State Duma on the formation of co-sponsored legislation regarding education during the VII Convocation. The discussion will focus on:

Discursive strategies: how different factions utilize language to influence educational policy
Co-sponsorship patterns: the relationship between discursive divisions and collaboration on educational legislation
Implications: the effects of these divisions on educational reforms and outcomes.
