Seminar on data interpretation

Empirical data derived from rigorous experimentation can be interpreted in various ways. For example, theoretical-based studies can be interpreted as supporting or not a theoretical framework, discovery-based studies can be interpreted as data-driven outcomes, and often times as both theoretical and data-driven outcomes. As many of our students are currently collecting and analysing data this seminar discussed approaches, tips and suggestions for systematic organization of data useful for data interpretation in cognitive neuroscience. The seminar will focus on interpretation of behavioural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data.
