The School promotes cutting-edge research, multidisciplinary studies, education in English. We are increasing the number of courses in English all the time and have started two English-speaking Master’s Programs. Our researchers have access to Eye trackers, TMS, multi-channel EEG, MEG and fMRI techniques.
The School also aims to train psychologists, who can apply their knowledge in the fields of economics, banking, human resources management, organizational development, ecopsychology and team-building.
The seminar will consider the positive effects of pet ownership. In particular, the phenomenon of attachment to pets will be considered, and an instrument adapted to the Russian-language sample measuring this construct LAPS will be presented. Based on the phenomenon of attachment to pets, a unique practice in psychotherapy is being built – animal assisted therapy which has proven effectiveness. In addition, attachment to pets has a number of positive effects that were found in the Russian-language sample: for example, love for animals is a direct predictor of prosocial and pro-environmental behavior and moral attitudes focused on helping and caring for others. The seminar will also consider studies confirming the positive impact of pets on human psychological well-being.
