The 2nd ACME Research Seminar: Salience models of vision and search

The members of the 'Attention, Computational Models and Eye Movements' (ACME) Research and Study Group conducted the 2nd Research Seminar dedicated to salience models of vision and search.

The members discussed in detail a prominent model of saliency-based search mechanism for overt and covert visual attention proposed by Itti and Koch (2000).

In the course of the seminar the leader of the ACME Group Dr. Joe MacInnes gave a talk on the operating principles of the salience model, inspected its alternatives, and defined the key stages of its integration into a computational model simulating visual stability from eye movements and spatial attention.

The presentation is posted here: Salience models

The event took place February 10, 2017, at 11 Myasnitskaya St, room 323.
