State feminism
Speaker: Alina Efimova, a 4th year undergraduate student of Public Administration
On December 20, a seminar was held by the RSG, in which Alina Efimova, a 4th year undergraduate student of the department "State and Municipal Administration", spoke about state feminism. During the seminar, the concept of a “gender contract” was revealed, and variants of possible gender contracts by R. Crompton were presented. Three models of the women's movement were considered. The speaker paid special attention to the women's movement in the Scandinavian countries, in particular, in Sweden. It was noted that at the present time it is possible to observe the transformation of feminism towards women in the direction of market relations, “market feminism”. At the end of the seminar, it was told about the challenges that state feminism is currently facing, new forms of state feminism, its transnationalization, and feminism in the corporate sphere.
At the end of the seminar, participants were able to ask the speaker their questions.
