On the 19th of September 2018 the seminar of the Research and Study Group "Comparative Study of the Situation of Women and Men in Public Authorities" was held, where Anastasia Poretskova, the teacher of the Faculty of Social Sciences at HSE, shared the core theories of discrimination in the corporate environment and in public administration, the history of intersectionality as an approach to gender studies. Special attention was paid to the question of how gender discrimination and discrimination of minorities can be considered in the field of public administration.

At the end of the seminar, participants were offered to reflect on real cases from HR practice in the UK and Europe, in order to understand how European experience can be considered relevant to the Russian context, and what significant conclusions can be drawn from the Western practice.
