Valeriya Utkina in Cambridge

A co-head of the Research Group Valeriya Utkina participated in the 2018 Annual Conference of the British association of Slavonic and East European Studies (BASSES)

Valeriya Utkina in Cambridge

The conference was held on April 13-15 and was based at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, United Kingdom.

BASEES is the foremost British learned society of sociologists, politicians, historians and other researchers that study Russia, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.  The members of the organization are leading researchers in the fields of human and social sciences with special interest in Russia and Eastern Europe.

Valeria Utkina, the Senior Lecturer of the School of Public Administration of the Faculty of Social Sciences, (coauthor -Radik Sadykov, the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences) presented the study of the Research Group on Professional identity and professionalism of young women in Russian public administration. The presentation was well received and questions were asked by the audience.
