Lab members have published articles on traditional masculinity
Traditional masculinity is a risk factor that has a negative impact on both men's physical and psychological well-being and their interactions with others.
Traditional masculinity is a risk factor that has a negative impact on both men's physical and psychological well-being and their interactions with others.
Two meta-analyses, written with laboratory collaborators, were recently published in the journal Psychology of Men and Masculinity, examining the association of traditional masculinity with prejudice and violence. These analyses show that men with high levels of traditional masculinity express stronger prejudice and exhibit more violence toward women. However, this effect depends on both the form of masculinity and the type of prejudice and violence.
