Public Lecture of Research and Study Group at Sakharov Centre

On the 13th of June members of the RSG will give a public lecture on "Women in the Police".
The head of the RSG Olga Genrikhovna Isupova and the participant of the RSG Ekaterina Chemankova will present their two research projects - "Women in the "man" business: biographical interviews with the police officers of the Vologda region".
Speakers will answer the following questions:
1) Why do the women of the north choose a career in the police?
2) Do women change the police or the police changes the women?
3) How does the police work affect family happiness?
Also, the different research project will be presented by the co-head of the RSG, Valeriya Utkina. Her report on the topic "Randomly or planned? - Why do women go to the civil service?" is devoted to the motives for choosing a specific career direction on a sample of employees of federal authorities and their structures.
