Women in Public Administration
Today, on the 30th of January, the first research seminar of our Group was held. The Head of the Group Olga Isupova and the co-head of thr Group Valeriya Utkina presented their research projects.
Olga Isupova reported on "Women in the ‘man’s’ job: a biographical study of police officers in the Vologda region" and "Masculinity of men in Northern Russia based on the example of police officers in the Vologda region".
Valeriya Utkina presented research titled "Accidental or planned? - Why do women choose to work in public authorities?" and discussed specific features of career trajectories of young women employed in federal executive bodies of the Russian Federation.
These presentations were followed by a fruitful discussion among participants of the seminar.
