Congratulations to Maxim Kotelnikov on the successful pre-defense of his PhD dissertation!
On October 20, 2025, at a meeting of the International Laboratory for Social Integration Studies at the Higher School of Economics, Maxim Pavlovich Kotelnikov, a postgraduate student at the HSE International Laboratory for Social Integration Studies, held a pre-defense of his candidate's dissertation on the topic "Literary practices as a resource for transforming the biographical projects of young men from families with low socioeconomic status."

Maxim Kotelnikov's dissertation, "Literary Practices as a Resource for Transforming the Biographical Projects of Young Men from Families with Low Socioeconomic Status," analyzes the mechanisms by which actors cope with the hysteresis situation through the prism of emotional-affective experience and reflective processes that ensure a partial or complete transformation of the subject's dispositions.
The scientific supervisor is Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor Elena Rostislavovna Iarskaya-Smirnova , head of our Laboratory .
Following the discussion that took place during the meeting, a unanimous decision was made to recommend Maxim Kotelnikov for the defense of his dissertation for the degree of candidate of sociological sciences.
