Seminar "Fourier transform for liberal-arts students: what it is and why we should study it"

The scientific group "Mathematical and Computational Psychology" organized a seminar "Fourier transform for liberal-arts students" on 15. February. 2019.

Fourier transform is one of fundamental techniques to analyze data in many disciplines. However, many people, especially in liberal-arts have difficulty to understand what Fourier transform does and how to interpret its output. In this seminar, I discussed an intuitive idea of Fourier transform, why it looks so counter-intuitive, and why it is so important.
