Categorization and analysis: discussing controversial points

The question of the correct interpretation of the analyzed data and шеы correspondence to the proposed categories is of great importance for the quality of the study. Since this part of the work has already been almost completed, we met and discussed how significant the potential discrepancies in interpretations between the students coding the texts are. Discrepancies are a natural element of such work, but the quality of the categories we have proposed and the formalization of coding processes must undergo additional verification through additional analysis, not by one, but by several participants.

In this seminar, we evaluated the intercoder reliability, and in addition, we discussed several cases with the major discrepancies in interpretations.
