HSE offers several scholarships that allow international students to cover part of their tuition fees in both undergraduate and graduate programmes. Scholarships are offered as a tuition discount for international students and take effect at the time of their enrolment in HSE. The scholarships are granted for the full period of studies.

Results for 2017 Student Research Paper Competition Announced
The research paper competition was held in 21 subjects. For the first time ever, international students are among the competition’s winners. As for international participants, Umesi Love Ugonna  the first place in Public Administration category for his paper ‘Еffect of Maternal Micronutrients Supplementation on Infant Mortality in Nigeria’, while Kofi Aduo-Adjei and Owusu Richmond became runners-up in Sociology category with their paper ‘Analysis of Socioeconomic Differences in the Quality of ANC Services Provided in 60 Low and Middle Income Countries’.  All three are students of our HSE Master’s programme in ‘Population and Development’. Congratulations!

By Way of Italy, Norwegian Student Lands at HSE

Like many international students who choose to study at the Higher School of Economics, Martin Inderhaug, a native of Bergen, Norway, boasts a rich background marked by a diverse set of interests. Although he has been at HSE for only six months since enrolling in the Master’s programme in Politics, Economics and Philosophy, his interest in Russia goes back to his days serving in Norway’s military in the country’s far north where he would gaze at the ‘unknown East’ across the border with Russia.

Public Policy Programme – Ten Years and Growing

On June 24, as the entire world was reeling from the Brexit vote, the centre of Moscow saw another farewell taking place at HSE, albeit one considerably more festive in nature. This was the 10th anniversary of the Public Policy programme at HSE where 35 graduates received their diploma after two years of hard work to earn their coveted Master’s degree in Public Policy.
