Elena Panfilova, Head of the HSE Laboratory for Anti-Corruption Policy, is first Russian to become Vice-chair of Transparency International

For the first time in history of Transparency International (TI), which was founded in 1993, a Russian citizen has become its vice-chair.

Transparency International’s annual membership meeting, which gathered in Berlin, elected Elena Panfilova, the chair of Transparency International Russia, to the position. Together with Peruvian José Ugaz, who was elected chair of the board, she will represent the organization internationally for the next three years.
