On April, 9 two sessions dealing with Entrepreneurship and SME research were held at the 10th International Academic Conference on economic and social development in Russia were held from April 7-9, 2009 in Moscow. To read further...
The Conference was organized by the University - Higher School of Economics (U-HSE), with the participation of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. The Conference Programme Committee was chaired by Professor Evgeny Yasin, the former Minister of Economic Development of Russia, and the U-HSE Academic Supervisor.
There were more than 1600 participants, several VIP from Russian government and international organizations, and open lectures by distinguished scientists (Eric Maskin, Lawrence Harrison, Leslie Lipschitz, Michael Klein, Erik Berglöf, Anna-Leen Saxenian, and others) the conference belongs to the top forums on economics and economic policy in Eastern Europe.
There were held two sessions related to the GEM problematics: session M-10 “Development of Entrepreneurship and the Human Factor: Russia and the CEE countries” (chair - Prof. Dr. Alexander Chepurenko, head of the Moscow GEM team, U-HSE) and session M-11 “Entrepreneurship and Regional Development” (chairpersons: Prof. Dr. L.S.
