Курс Стейна Ларсена на ФПП

18 ноября состоялось вручение сертификатов студентам, прошедшим интенсив-курс проф. Стейна Ларсена (Университет Бергена, Норвегия) "Theory and Methods in Political Science".

В рамках программы международных обменов магистратуры ФПП был прочитан курс проф. Стейна Ларсена (Университет Бергена, Норвегия): "Theory and Methods in Political Science".

Темы лекций:

1. What is political science and why students study it?
2. “The Freezing Thesis”: stability of party systems in democratic states. 
3. “Duverger’s Law”: majoritarian electoral systems lead to two-party systems. 
4. “The Iron Law of Oligarchy”: on democracy in organizations. 
5. “The Peter-Principle”: promotion and decline in organizations. 
6. “Davis’s J-curve”: when do revolutions take place? 
7. “The Mass Society Thesis”: the consequences following the breakdown of organizational society. 
8. “The Protestant Ethic”: preconditions for the breakthrough of the capitalist system.  
9. “The Convergence Thesis”: the dynamics in world towards greater similarity.
