A Critical Environmental Psychology approach to people-environment and energy studies
At the seminar of Environmental Psychology Research and Study Group held Dec. 9, 2021, Dr Susana Batel, Integrated Researcher at the University Institute of Lisbon, delivered a presentation: A Critical Environmental Psychology approach to people-environment and energy studies
In her talk, Dr Batel spoke about using the framework of a critical environmental psychology approach to understand current citizen participation and opposition to new renewable energy infrastructure and other environmentally relevant technologies and practices not as NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) but instead as enactments of socio-environmental (in)justices.
The Q & A part of the seminar included discussions with Russian and foreign environmental psychology researchers on the issues raised in the presentation.
