Look around you—public finances are everywhere!
And our task is to explain them and share our experience of managing them.
The Department was created in April 2009. The Head of the Department is Professor Alexey Lavrov, Candidate of Geographic Sciences, Deputy Finance Minister of Russia. His responsibilities at the Ministry include budget policy and budget methodology, setting out areas of development in budget legislation, and preparing the defence of the federal budget in the Federal Assembly (the Parliament of Russia). Our faculty members are experts, including current employees of the Ministry of Finance of Russia. This means that students gain practical knowledge of the Ministry's activities and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for public finance professionals.
