Подготовка к работе с данными: интерпретация наративвов вокруг программы реновации в Москве

As part of our work at seminars, we continue to prepare a qualitative study of texts containing narratives about the renovation program in Moscow. At the moment, we have developed a preliminary version of the code book for coding texts and by the end of May we plan to complete the work on their analysis.

What are the features of the narratives presented in the texts we analyze? How do the authors organize their texts: do they strive for a short and succinct message or are willing to give long (and maybe excessive) descriptions of problems, characters and context; How widely is humor used and how specific are these narratives (i.e., are they understood by a more or less wide segment of readers)? To answer these questions, we are conducting an additional qualitative analysis of the collected data, and at the current seminar we discussed the distribution of texts among the participants and a general plan of action for the next month.
