The Journal of Economic Sociology has been accepted for inclusion into Scopus

The Journal of Economic Sociology has been accepted for inclusion into Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. The Journal of Economic Sociology has successfully gone through a review process and evaluation governed by The Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB), with the participation of international experts. Integration of the Journal of Economic Sociology’s content into Scopus coverage is expected in the near future.

Additionally, we have earlier informed you that three more HSE journals — Public Administration Issues (Voprosy Gosudarstvennogo i Munitsypal’nogo Upravleniya), Psychology. Journal of the Higher School of Economics (Psychologiya. Zhurnal Vysshey Shkoly Economiki) and The Russian Sociological Review (Sociologicheskoye Obozreniye) — are to be indexed by Scopus.

The web-based Journal of Economic Sociology has been issued since fall 2000. Editor-in-Chief is Prof. Vadim Radaev, Department Head of Laboratory for Studies in Economic sociology. Journal of Economic Sociology is a specialized academic journal representing the mainstreams of thinking and research in international and Russian economic sociology. Economic Sociology provides a framework for discussion of the following key issues: major theoretical paradigms in economic sociology, sociology of markets and organizations, social and economic strategies of households, informal economy. Journal of Economic Sociology also welcomes research papers written within neighboring disciplines — new institutional economics, anthropology, economic psychology and the related fields, which can be of interest to economic sociologists. All issues are published in Russian with a special supplement in English.

Journal of Economic Sociology is a bimonthly journal released in five issues (January, March, May, September, and November). Economic Sociology provides permanent free access to all issues in PDF.  It was included into the Russian Scientific Citation Index in 2009. It holds the 4th position among all Russian sociological journals. Five-year Impact factor of the journal (Russian citation index, 2015) achieves 0.690.

Previously, Journal of Economic Sociology has been accepted to the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), recently launched by Thomson Reuters.  ESCI makes articles published in the Journal of Economic Sociology since 2015 visible in the Web of Science Core Collection.
