Applications for the V International Scientific Conference "Interaction. Integration. Inclusion: from reflection to action" will be accepted from June 1

On the first day of summer, applications will be accepted for the V International Scientific Conference "Interaction. Integration. Inclusion: from reflection to action", which will be held from August 5 to 7, 2025.

"Interaction. Integration. Inclusion: from reflection to action"

August 5-7, 2025.

Organizer: International Laboratory for Social Integration Studies, National Research University Higher School of Economics (in partnership with the Journal of Social Policy Studies). 

In 2025, the International Scientific Conference "Interaction. Integration. Inclusion: from reflection to action" is aimed at examining a wide range of socially and academically significant topics. It is proposed to discuss approaches and practices for the integration of societies in synchronic and diachronic dimensions, implemented in different regions and countries, with an emphasis on the problems that give rise to the “new exclusion” and affect the inclusion of “traditionally” marginalized and vulnerable groups of the population, and, more broadly, on overcoming or minimizing social inequality as such.

 The conference will also host a workshop for researchers just beginning to explore academic spaces – high school students and first- and second-year undergraduate students. We invite young researchers of sociocultural integration, social inclusion, and issues of underrepresented and vulnerable groups to participate in the workshop categories of the population and other topics presented in the conference program. Each workshop participant will receive rich feedback from more experienced colleagues and will be able to discuss research development directions with peers and experienced colleagues. Both papers presenting completed research and project proposals covering ideas for potential research. When registering, please indicate "participation in a workshop" and, if your paper is included in the conference program, send an extended abstract (3 pages) or the full text of the paper to e-mail: makozlova@hse.ru no later than August 1, so that a potential discussant can familiarize themselves with the work in advance and prepare a detailed review.

The conference will be held online.
Working languages: Russian, English.

Important dates:

- Applications for participation with a paper in sections will be accepted from June 1 to July 14.

To submit an application, you must fill out the registration form (including a short summary of the paper up to 300 words).

- Applications for participation without a paper will be accepted until July 31.

To submit an application, you must fill out the registration form.

- Applications for participation with a report in the Conference are accepted until July 20

- Preparation, layout and publication of the program – until July 25
