Effectivness assesment of mentorship programm
In 2025, the ILSIR continued its collaboration with the Mentors for Children Foundation. This year, a team of young researchers—students from the Sociology of the Public Sphere and Digital Analytics master's program and interns from the ILSIR Lab is analyzing data collected by the foundation during its long-term monitoring of the mentoring program's effectiveness. They are also providing methodological support to update the foundation's monitoring tools.
The foundation's program focuses on professionally organized one-on-one mentoring for children and teenagers. Its key goal is to support the socialization of children in difficult life situations, including those without parental care. Importantly, the foundation strives to maintain relationships with program participants even after they grow up. As part of the collaboration, future efforts will include developing tools to identify the interests and needs of program alumni.
Thus, as before, the joint project aims to create an evidence-based system for assessing the program's medium- and long-term effectiveness, which will inform recommendations for working with both current participants and alumni.
The project team includes ILSIR Lab researchers: Maria Kozlova, Olga Madfes, and Arseniy Buchatsky, as well as second-year students from the Sociology of the Public Sphere and Digital Analytics master's program: Yulia Murashova, Kristina Suminova, Zhanna Kuleeva, and Anna Davlyatova.
