Alexey Kotov and Yulia Sudorgina published an article in "Frontiers in Psychology" on the influence of language on the comprehension and evaluation of judgments.
Alexey Kotov and Yulia Sudorgina, co-authored with Ivan Aslanov, published the article "The Explanatory Effect of a Label: Its Influence on a Category Persists Even If We Forget the Label" based on the results of a study under the RFBR grant. In the study investigating the effect of new category names on event memory and judgment evaluation, the effect obtained previously on English-speaking subjects was replicated, and further aspects of this effect were explored: how memory about unfamiliar events, with and without labels, changes over time, and why language changes the way people evaluate and understand them.
