(The School ceased to exist on September 2, 2019. A School of Politics and Governance was created in the Faculty of Social Sciences on the basis of the School of Political Science and the School of Public Administration).
The HSE School of Public Administration was created in 2003 and since 2014 has been part of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The School aims to train experts in public administration with competency in the following areas: Public Affairs, Public Policy and Public Administration. A major part of is our focus is on economics, and providing students with superior knowledge in this area is one of the School's key strengths. It also conducts numerous research projects in the sphere of public administration and public policy.

The high quality of education provided by the School of Public Administration is confirmed by the fact that its Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Public Administration were accredited by the European Association for Public Administration Accreditation (EAPAA) in August 2017. Both programmes are run under the guidance of faculty members of the School of Public Administration.
