Neuropsy Lab seminar: "Need an academic reference? What are referees being asked?"
In the academic sphere and during the learning process, we encounter the need to write reference letters. This is a necessity for almost everyone: students applying to master's and doctoral programs; Ph.D. students and postdocs putting in for fellowships and job positions; senior scientists determined to receive awards and promotions. Considering how applicable this topic may be, Dr. Marie Arsalidou, the head of Neuropsy Lab, will share her experience in writing reference letters.
Dr. Marie Arsalidou invites you to the Neuropsy Lab seminar :
"This year I have written a numerous of reference letters for students interested in progressing their careers in local and international institutions. Sometimes requested references are in free form and others require completion of elaborate forms. If you are planning to request someone to write a reference, you may be interested to know what is covered by those forms and what universities or funding agencies are requesting from referees. This seminar will cover information about obtaining strong letters of reference."
