The traditional Science Battles were the finale of the fifth Festival of Science at HSE University where four speakers faced off in a duel. The main prize for winning in Science Battles is an academic travel grant. This year its winner was Timofey Berezner, a 2nd year master's student in the "Cognitive Science and Technology: from Neuron to Cognition" programme.

An article by our colleague Olga Rubtsova “The effect of categorical superiority in subsequent search misses”, co-written with the Laboratory Head Elena Gorbunova, was published in the journal Acta Psychologica.
This year the 3d “Applied Cognitive Science” Summer School was held by our Lab. Unfortunately, we were forced to meet via online because of pandemic situation. Nonetheless, these conditions did not affect on shool program: it was intense and engaging.
