Funding Call for the HSE Teaching Excellence Initiative

We are happy to inform you that the Funding Call for the HSE Teaching Excellence Initiative is open until June 1, 2017.

The HSE Teaching Excellence Initiative has been launched to engage leading international scholars in a series of workshops and lectures devoted to the special aspects of teaching various courses (e.g., “Teaching Sociology to Undergraduate Students” or “Project-based Learning in Economics”).

The goal of these workshops and lectures is to acquaint HSE’s faculty with the best teaching practices in regards to specific courses.

Applications shall be accepted until June 1, 2017, 11:59 pm. For further information about the terms and conditionsrequired documents, and the application form, please refer to https://visitingscholar.hse.ru/en.

Please note that all documents (i.e., scanned copies of the agreement, an application letter from the HSE programme, and the CV of the visiting scholar invited for the workshop), as well as information about the workshops, must be submitted via an electronic form.

Terms and Conditions for Funding:

— Applications are accepted from the degree programmes and departments of HSE’s Moscow campus.

— Applications must be submitted by academic supervisors, or by the instructors of a given degree programme upon the approval of an academic supervisor.

— Workshops are scheduled for July-December, 2017.

— While examining the documents, the Committee pays special attention to uncovering whether or not a given teaching excellence project can help effectively boost the level of teaching under a respective HSE degree programme(s).

— An application must contain a short description of the courses/lectures that are planned to be delivered.
